Buying Text Links
Buying text links has become a popular way to get Backlinks and increase link popularity quickly. Some argue that buying text links is an effective way to increase your Search Engine Rankings and PageRank while others caution that some search engines may penalize your website for buying text links.
Obviously the best types of Backlinks are those that you receive naturally but if you have a new web site or have very few Backlinks, then buying text links may be a viable way to increase your SERPs.
You should try to buy text links from relevant websites and avoid web pages that have an unusually high number of outbound text links.
In most cases, Search Engines cannot tell the difference between paid and non paid text links and therefore will not be able to impose a penalty. The fact is that most paid text links appear on a page in the same way as non paid text links. If Google and other Search Engines can’t determine that a text links was purchased or sold, there is no way for them to apply a penalty on web sites that utilize this service.
